Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has announced the immediate dissolution of State Executive Council.
The dissolution was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habibat Adubiaro.
The dissolution affects all Commissioners and Special Advisers, except for a few key officials who will retain their positions.
Those exempted from the dissolution include: Retained Commissioners:
*Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. *Commissioner for Health and Human Service. *Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security. *Commissioner for Education. Commissioner for Work.
*Commissioner for Trade, investment, Industry and Cooperatives.
Retained Special Advisers.
*Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion.
*Special Adviser on Lands, Survey and e-GIS.
Retained Director General
*Director General, Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD).
*Director General, Sustainable Development, Goals and Project Monitoring.
*Director of General, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).
Affected official are required to handover their responsibilities to Permanent Secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries, departments and agencies.
The governor expressed gratitude to outgoing members for their service and wished them well in their future endeavours.
