GOVERNOR SOLUDO SWORN-IN AS ANAMBARA GOVERNOR

PROF. SOLUDO OFFICIALLY SWORN IN AS THE GOVERNOR OF ANAMBARA STATE.

Ex governor and chairman of the board of directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Chukwuma Soludo was today handed over the mantle of leadership by Willie Obiano as he becomes the fifth democratic Governor of Anambra State.

The Inauguration Ceremony which took place at the state’s Government House, Akwa had the outgoing Governor present among other dignitary.

Before Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, the Chief Judge of Anambara State, Soludo took the oath of office earlier today, Thursday 17th March.

Recall that the 61-year-old who was made CBN governor on 29 May 2004, and later inducted as a member of the British Department for International Development’s International Advisory Group, was on 9 November 2021 declared the winner of Anambara Governorship election.

Governor Soludo under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, defeated Valentine Ozeigbo among others to clinch the position.
