The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma was not in any case abducted or betterstill was not kidnapped by the tagged “Unknown Gunmen” as earlier reported.
Several calls put across to relevant authorities in Imo state Nigeria by our Government House Correspodent in Owerri confirmed that such report is highly malicious and defamatory, targetted at distracting the 3R government and to breed tension in the state.

At the time of this report by 9News Nigeria, Governor Hope Uzodinma was busy on his official function while the attackers of government are busy peddling fake stories and spreading unverifiable stories.
Spotting a trending video on social media outlets Friday titled “Governor Uzodinma was said to have been kidnapped by hoodlums in Owerri”, the manufacturer of such video did not say the truth rather tarnishing the image of Uzodinma’s administration carelessness.
Without respect to the rule of law, a non existing group called “Imo New Dawn” has declared Governor Uzodinma missing which is a total falsehood.
E Don Red online Tv has packaged a trending video against the Imo Governor, declaring him missing as reported.
He went further to cajole the Governor and said all sorts of words against Uzodinma.
However investigation is on to unravel those behind such a drastic act and possibly will get to the end of the matter, a reliable source insider government House told 9News Nigeria.

It will be very important to note that insecurity is a threat to the entire humanity and the people have to be vigilant while sending across verifiable information to law enforcement agents to take immediate action.
Meanwhile, the Imo State government are yet to react to this allegation while the people are asked to go ahead with their respective businesses and official functions, since there is no cause for alarm in Imo state Nigeria.
The video of Governor Uzodinma’s abduction is fake and the storyline is untrue. Those behind it are enemies of government and opposition of All Progressives Congress APC leadership in the state.
My investigation conducted reveals that Governor Hope Uzodinma is safe and sound and there was no time the Governor was kidnapped by anybody.
His trips to Abuja are confirmable because it is purely based on official capacity having known his inputs in the central government and the Progressive Governors’ Forum as chairman.
The public is hereby asked to ignore such trending stories and video targetted to distract the electorates now that the November Guber Election is near.
