The Immediate Past Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Engr Samuel Nwanosike, his government, and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) run a partnership to build an international standard Bush Meat and motor park in Omagwa.

The Market and Motor Park was commissioned a few months ago and it was named after the former Governor of Rivers State, who is the current minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja (FCT) Barrister Nyesom Wike.

The Newly Appointed Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Local Government, Hon Dr Darlington Orji visited the International Bush Meat And Motor Park, which was named “Nyesom Wike International Bush Meat And Motor Park.

While addressing Newsmen and the people of Omagwa, he assured them that, in no distance time the market would be re-allocated for the betterment and usage of the people.

Hon Darlington Orji Said, soon we will rename this market because it’s very good it’s named after a great hunter in Omagwa town because it’s an International Bush Meat Market.

So we must name it after something that looks like it, not playing politics with it.

He further said it was named after the former Governor and the present Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike but I think this kind of thing does not match his kind of person.
