Insecurity In Imo: Government Urged To Trail Dangerous Kidnap/Ritual Gang In Avu, Obosima Obinze, Nekede Axis

🟢Imo Residents, Victims, Public and Travellers have raised alarm calling on authorities to swiftly move into action to burst these hoodlums ravaging the society.

Dangerous gang of Kidnappers and suspected ritualists have been spotted several times operating within the communities where thick forests are domiciled.

Most dangerous actions are been carried out by these hoodlums along Owerri PortHarcourt road where via Avu, Nekede, Obinze, Ihiagwa FUTO/Eziobodo and Obosima axis on weekly basis as reported by Several media houses in the state.

The criminal den is located inside a Thick Bush/Forest within Avu, Nekede and Obinze communities along Owerri -Port-Harcourt road where the criminals operate with dangerous weapons and charms.

On this therefore, Imo Residents, Public and Travellers are told to be aware of this Dangerous Gang of Kidnappers and alleged ritualists operating in the state particularly within Avu, Nekede and Obinze axis in Owerri West.

These killer group have their den situated inside a Thick Bush/Forest within Avu and Obinze communities along Port-Harcourt Road operating with dangerous weapons and charms as spotted several times by eye witnesses in the area.

The Okohia forest have to be bursted because it has turned to be hoodlums cum criminal Den in Imo state.

For a long period of time, these notorious Kidnappers and Ritualists have kidnapped, taken money from several victims, tortured them and killed those who could not afford their financial bidding or those who struggled to escape from them.

Information has it that the criminals easily get their victims by charming them in the vehicle (always commercial buses) or diverting the bikes (okada riders) conveying passengers in disguise as innocent passengers and in the process hajack the vehicle and bikes on gunpoint.

Some victims who pleaded to talk to the press behind the camera, for security reasons said, In their den, they would tie up their victims’ legs, hands and eyes and force them to transfer money to the account number they provide.

“Any of their victims who does not have the kind of money they want, they force him or her to call their people, friends and victims who have no money or no body to reach out to, they kill the fellow.

Many of their victims have been killed in their den littered with human carcasses. Many have been raped, molested and maimed and the police command has at a certain order witnessed such incident at the Okohia forest.

The most recent was the rolls of dead bodies exhumed by the special force with the help of Hunters security guards at a burst of the forest in the area. The incident raised alot of public attention then. Surprisingly the hoodlums have resurfaced again as intelligence report have gathered.

These dangerous gang of ritualists and Kidnappers, according to reports are mixed with Igbos, Fualani Herdsmen, Hausa and Yoruba indigenes, but Igbos among them are being fronted to get victims to their den because of language and identity reasons.

A visit to that Avu Junction bus stop via Nekede road towards Obinze axis will prove a hint of red signals of nefarious activities going on in the area. The Okohia thick forest has to be bursted and government take over its development alongside landowners. By opening of these forests where the hoodlums hide will definitely chase them away.

Regretting the ordeal, victims are calling on the public, residents, commercial bus drivers and other road users to be careful of vehicles they enter, be mindful of people who enter their vehicle, where they stop, to avoid falling into the hands of these men of the underworld who now operate in all parts of Imo State especially Owerri Port-Harcourt Road and Owerri City as hinted.

The masses therefore urged Government to support the Army, the Police and other relevant security agencies to quickly intervene, go into the Thick Bush/Forest located between Avu , Nekede and Obinze communities in Owerri West, arrest the criminals to save lives, as no one knows who is going to be their next victim(s).

Reportedly, similar incident has happened several times in Oforola until the community beefed up security network to chase the hoodlums away. Along Avu/ Obosima/Amafor axis towards Ohaji Egbema same crime is on the increase as gathered by Newsmen.

The Traditional Rulers of the affected communities are aware of the high level of insecurity ravaging their communities.

This call is urgent to burst every suspected criminal den in Imo beginning with Okohia forest along Owerri PortHarcourt road.
