The Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Professor Benard Odoh has hailed a journalist with New Telegraph, Mr Uchenna Inya for emerging
as the MOST INNOVATIVE REPORTER OF THE YEAR in Nigeria.
Odoh, in a statement made available to our correspondent by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, on Monday, said the award which was conferred on him by the Board of trustees of the Nigerian Media Merit Award ceremony for the year 2022 held in Lagos over the weekend is not only very deserving but a worthy attestation of the diligence and innovative spirit of Ebonyians in every of their chosen fields of endeavour.
He noted that this is despite the daunting challenges facing journalism practice particularly in Ebonyi State and the accompanying lack of support from government and other critical stakeholders
The statement reads in parts,
“I received with great cheers the news of the emergence of Ebonyi-born print media journalist, Mr. Uchenna Inya as the MOST INNOVATIVE REPORTER OF THE YEAR in Nigeria.”
