It is shocking that the leader of IPOB has sacked his team of lawyers pending when his matter will be called in court.
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has sacked his legal team barely a month after a Supreme Court ruling which dashed his hopes of immediate release.
A highly-placed judicial source revealed that Kanu formally terminated the contract with his previous team, led by a renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
“It is true that shortly after the supreme court ruling Nnamdi Ejimakor and Nnameka Ejiofor met with our leader and he asked them to formally write the termination of the legal contract and give it to the lead counsel.
“They have already done that and the Senior Advocate of Nigeria has received the letter terminating the contract,”
With this development, a legal source hinted that his matter in court will likely take another shape since Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has sacked his legal team barely a month after a Supreme Court ruling which dashed his hopes of immediate release.
In other words, Nigerians are praying for a speedy adjudication to end the Kanu’s matter once and finally pending the judgement of the court.
