The National President of Nekede Federated Union NFU, High Chief Kennedy Zanders has insisted that the report published by a local tabliod in Imo is malicious and possible to create disunity and raise tension in Umuoma Autonomous Community in owerri west local government area of Imo state.
National Newsbreak Newspaper was quoted in its front page “Umuoma community Boils as Monarch defiles court order”
High Chief Zanders, DG ZandersFm owerri has discredited this statement and insisted that the traditional ruler of Umuoma Autonomous community, HRH Eze Morrison Eke PHD,Omadike 1 of Umuoma has the traditions right to select those he wishes to work with in his community pending when possible election will be fixed.
He however frowned at the publication which he said sends bad image of the traditional stool.
NFU National president however called on the publisher of Newsbreak to retrack such report and cautioned newspaper reporters to be more investigative in their reportage to avoid breeding unnecessary tension in thecrural community now that H/E governor Uzodinma has come to salvage Imo state as contained in his 3R mantra.
He had earlier adviced Mezie- Umuoma to set a good example of leadership and not to use the movement to redicle peoples integrity or pose for attacks.
