Nigeria were on Wednesday beaten 1-0 by Czech Republic, in this last friendly match before the 2018 World Cup.
Czech Republic started the game stronger than Nigeria and missed several clear chances, before taking the lead through Tomas Kalas. 1-0.
Gernot Rohr’s men failed to impose themselves in the first half. Their best chance fell to Odion Ighalo, whose fierce effort was pushed around the post. So it is 1-0 at the break.
Although Rohr introduced Tyronne Ebuehi, Ahmed Musa and Simeon Nwankwo in the second half, his team failed to score.
Nigeria will now continue their preparations, ahead of their World Cup opening fixture against Croatia on June 16.
