A young man, Safwan Idris, recently graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, and took to social media to share his academic journey.
Idris, who completed his studies with Third Class degree, share his statement of result on a social media on Friday, September 27, with a message aimed at encouraging students facing academic excellence.
In his post, He wrote:
“Graduating with Third Class Honours. This result is dedicated to every student struggling out there. No matter how hard academic life is, you shall prevail lastly”.
The graduate, who was a student at the University from 2015-2024, has been praised for his bravery in sharing his results, despite the stigma often associated with Third Class degree.
In Nigerian society, a Third Class degree is frequently viewed as a sign of poor academic performance, leading to judgements about a person’s intelligence or capabilities.
However, Idris decision to share his results openly has resonated with many who commend his courage and transparency.
His story has sparked discussions online, with many sharing messages of support and admiration for his honesty, while also encouraging others to push through their academic struggles.
