The Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, in order to curb and checkmate insecurity within the Territorial Boundaries and Communities of Kogi State has unveiled Vehicles, Motorcycles and other Gadgets to be used by the State Security Outfit, KOGI STATE VIGILANTE SERVICE (KSVS) across the 21 Local Government Commands and Service Headquarters.
This is a very great development, and other state governors in Nigeria are hereby called to emulate the intelligent idea of the Kogi State government so as to wipe out insecurity in all our communities across the country.
With the increased allocation to the states as a result of the fuel subsidy removal, state governments are expected to rise up to their responsibilities by providing their citizens with security, after all the first and major assignment of any government is security of lives and properties of the citizenry.
We call on governments of all states that have been ravaged with cases of kidnapping, incessant killings, maiming and other atrocities against humanity to wake up to their responsibilities and begin to think outside the box to help their citizenry.
The state police will come, but before then, let everyone in position of authority take the bull by the horn and fix all the security leakages in their own states to help Nigerians to enjoy Mr. President’s newed hope agenda.
