Prince Tajudeen Olusi ,Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos State, says the body was set up to ensure the smooth running of governance in the state.
Speaking with TheScrutiny, he said contrary to reports in the public, the GAC, which is the highest decision making organ of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos does not dictate to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu or the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on how to manage the affairs of the state.His words “You must get things clear.
The Governance Advisory Council (GAC) is strictly about governance. We don’t give marching orders to the governor or lawmakers or dictate to anyone but we give advice where necessary for the smooth running of governance”.“The committee is set up for the smooth running of government.
Its primary responsibility is to assist government, be it the legislature or the executive”.“So, our role is to ensure the smooth running of government in Lagos. By the grace of God we shall continue to perform our responsibilities satisfactorily”.
