His Excellency Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, now Presidential aspirant on the platform of Labour Party, has congratulated Nigeria former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for his emergence as the Presidential flag bearer of the People Democratic Party – PDP for the 2023 Presidential election.
Peter Obi who was Atiku Abubakar running mate in 2019 Presidential election, today took to his official Twitter’s handle and congratulated Atiku in this tone:
“On behalf of my family I sincerely congratulate my Leader and dear brother H.E Atiku on his emergence as the 2023 Presidential flag bearer of PDP. I pray that the almighty God who sees your goodness will continue to bless you now and always”
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerged yesterday as the Presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party – PDP with 371 votes to defeat a close contender Nyesom Wike, the incumbent Governor of Rivers State who scored 237 votes. Dr. Bukola Saraki, a former Senate President had 70 votes, Udom Emmanuel, Governor of Akwa Ibom State pulled only 38 votes, while Anyim Pius Anyim a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation had 14 votes.
