Sir Jude Ezenwafor Receives PDP Certificate of Return Amid Hopes for a New Dawn in Anambra Politics

Sir Jude Ezenwafor of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has officially received his certificate of return as the party’s candidate in a brief but symbolic ceremony held at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

During the event, the Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum presented the certificate.

Damagum, who commended Ezenwafor’s steadfastness and the party’s evolving unity in Anambra State. Damagum noted that, for the first time in recent history, a PDP candidate in Anambra has emerged without internal wrangling or legal contestations, a development he described as a testament to the maturity and growth of the party in the state.

“This is a clear sign that the Anambra PDP is on the path of stability and progress,” Damagum stated. “It is by God’s will that the obstacles have been cleared. We are moving towards a more united and formidable front.”

He further encouraged Ezenwafor to consolidate on the progress made so far and to work towards uniting all party members in Anambra, emphasizing that the national leadership of the PDP is fully behind his candidacy. In his remarks, Sir Jude Ezenwafor expressed gratitude and pledged to usher in a new era for Anambra PDP. He promised to lead by example and work tirelessly to secure victory for the party at the polls.

“I am committed to changing the narrative and ensuring our party emerges stronger and more united. I am confident we will win, and win massively,” he declared.

The event was graced by party stakeholders, supporters, and family members, including his wife, Lady Barr Ogechukwu Ezenwafor. The youth leader, Chief Okito Oke, expressed renewed confidence in the PDP’s resurgence, particularly in regions that had faced internal challenges in the past. He solicited for part support at the national level, for their dream to to come to fruition.

As the PDP intensifies efforts to reclaim its dominance across Nigeria through strategic reorganization and unity-building, Anambra is the State to watch.
