A pressure group under the aegies of Nigeria Unity Forum, NUF, has lauded the membership status of All Progressive Congress APC party in Abia State and the country at large.
In a chat with 9News Nigeria, the group attributed the increasing number of new members into the progressive party in Abia and indeed the entire south east zone to the successes recorded by President Muhammadu Buhari and the Honorable Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah which has given governance a facelift in the country.
NUF however stated that the APC membership has increased with huge numbers of patriotic Abia populaces and Nigerians embracing democratic ideologies of the party as exemplified by President Buhari and the Mines and Steel Development Minister which also centred on quality delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.
The group, stated this in a statement jointly signed by its President General, Mazi Okwudiri Madu and Publicity Secretary, Chijindu Emeruwa and made available to journalists on Thursday in Aba.
NUF stated that the creation of private sector driven jobs through industrialization by Uche Ogah before ascendency as Mines Minister and coupled with the latter’s entry into the All Progressive Congress APC, made many citizenry who are yearning for true leadership, to identify with the governing party in Abia in daily basis thereby solidifying the party to clinch power and entrench people’s oriented government ahead of 2023 general elections.
“The Minister gave life to All Progressive Congress in Abia State. His entry into the party about three years ago, has continued to increase the party membership drive. His humility, pragmatism, expertises and zeal for a better Abia State have also attracted well meaning technocrats into the APC.
“If you can recall as governorship flagbearer of APC in Abia, he made it clear that he joined politics in order to contribute his quota in advancing the welfare of the people through quality leadership. Remember that before his venture into political activities, he gave many within and outside better sense of belongings, and he has not relent. That is why the Abia populace are yearning for Ogah’s leadership style, because, they know he is capable to change the narratives of governance in the state. He is not a wealth seeker”.
The group commended Ogah for the tremendous policies, programmes and efforts to see the Enugu Coal Mine and other mining sector driven in the southeast bounce back to life which he said if fully resuscitated would provide job opportunities to the people of the zone.
NUF further passed a vote of confidence on the Minister of State for Mines, Uche Ogah, positing that the successful and numerous tours of mining sites in parts of the country by the Minister has given impetus to the commitment of Buhari-led administration to ensure all facets of the nation’s economy is given a facelifts.
It also lauded the Abia State Government’s collaborative support with the Minister in ensuring what is due for the state from the national table get to all and sundry in the state, south east and Nigeria as a whole.
Minister of State for Mines, Uche Ogah, is a GRASSROOT mobilizer and a humane Politician in ABIA state and the South East Nigeria.
