He bemoaned the deplorable state of the infrastructural facilities in the School which once used to be a premier and excellent citadel of learning before the Nigeria civil war .

Many pupils were sitting on bare floor to learn and without chairs and desks. Omadike condemned that as thoroughly not conducive for learning.

The assignment and fulfillment of Royal promise was to the Primary Six pupils which is the outgoing class.

The reward for passing the assignment given them excited the pupils and in return, they promised never to joke in future with any homework and assignments from their teachers.

Umuoma Monarch charged them to always take their studies seriously because education is the highest predictor of success in life.

He further assured the headmistress that Central School Nekede will take a new shape before the year will be over through Community efforts and support from Nekede diasporians.

TRADITIONAL PRIME MINISTER NZE CHRIS AHARANWA noted with dismay the degrading level of some facilities in the school and assured that with the help of the school Alumni Association currently being piloted by one of the foremost class prefects of central school Nekede, SIR HENRY (Otule) EKE, the school will soon wear a new look.

TPM Aharanwa pointed out the pressing projects like Security check through perimeter fencing, establishment of good toilet facilities for both the teachers and the pupils, renovation of classrooms and providing of quality reading desks (that of Rochas Okorocha’s school chairs) will improve the school.

He told the school management of further plans by the Alumni Association to upgrade central school Nekede to be the best in Owerri zone.

PASTOR CHRISTIAN ANYANWU on behalf of the church, rendered a warm hearted homily to the pupil of the school while advising them to live a goodly life.

However, at the instance of the Umuoma Royal team’s visit to the school, there was an intervention by the PRESIDENT GENERAL and the PUBLIC RELATION OFFICER who called on the attention of the entire members of the crew to witness an on-the-spot unapproved visit by a particular football team that drove into the school compound from far away Abia state to play football on the school field targetted at distracting the serenity of learning going on during the school hours.

Meanwhile, the football team was intercepted and sent off from the school arena. They were told never to barge into Government properties without due authorization from the school authority and the UMUOMA PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY UPA before making such moves otherwise the police would have arrested them.

Our correspodent gathered that religious groups also schedule their church programmes and events in the school during studies.

The nursery section

The school headmistress was told not to allow such activities to continue while studies are goin on and adviced to report such disturbance to the community leadership.

She was also asked to refuse such visits without due authorization for the reason of security and safety of our children in the school as reported by 9News Nigeria.

This a challenge to the Imo state government whose Primary schools are in such condition while the community is pleading on spirited Individuals, groups, co-operate organisations and churches to help improve the condition of central school Nekede. The diaspora groups are not left out in this clarion call.
