ZULUM REBUILT 1ST PRIMARY SCHOOL BURNT BY BOKO HARAM

Social sharing

Goni Damgiri Primary School in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital was the first primary school to ever be burnt down by the Boko Haram insurgents when the crisis began in 2009. It is situated close to the headquarters of the Boko Haram movement near the Railway Station.

It became the first casualty of their burning spree and it came down to ground zero under the weight of the pogrom.

The good news is that the school has been rebuilt anew by the people-oriented government of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum. It comes with a water system, electricity connection, spacious classrooms and a friendly teaching and learning environment critical to imparting knowledge.
