The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev’d Dr. E.O Chukwuma has revealed that Enugu State is not Obidient as it’s the current trend and mantra in the whole country for Peter Obi, the candidate of Labour Party – LP for the 2023 Presidential election.

According to report, Archbishop Chukwuma who said this on Thursday at Eziokwe Village, Ndiagu Akpugo, Nkanu West local government area of Enugu State during the burial ceremony of a former Military Administrator of Osun and Abia states, Colonel Anthony Obi (rtd), stressed that political parties should refine their paths with people-oriented programmes that could lift the country out of poverty.

“Let me say this in clear terms: we are not Obidient in Enugu State, and we’ll never be. The people of the State are under umbrella and better off with the PDP. Our people should vote for the PDP in Enugu State. The parties in Nigeria must go and refine themselves and prepare for a better Nigeria”.

Yet despite the claim made by Dr Chukwuma, many residents in Enugu are urging the clergyman to speak for himself, and not to make a general remark that Enugu is PDP.
