-AS ONYEMAECHI URGES THEM TO SUPPORT THE STATE GOVERNMENT

The majority leader, imo state house of assembly and member representing owerri west state constituency, Rt. Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi received the owerri -west traditional rulers at his residence.
Media aide Ikenna Emejuobi revealed that the meeting which took place at Oforola residence of the lawmaker was aimed at interacting with the monarchs to brief them on the journey so far.
In his speech, the chairman, owerri -west council of traditional rulers, HRH Eze Ejimogu who led the delegation stated that politics is a game of no permanent friend or enemy but permanent interest and as such applauded the decision of Rt. Hon Onyemaechi in defecting to APC noting that he played his game in a matured way.
The monarch who frowned at the marginalization meted on ndi owerri -west urged the lawmaker to use his good position and restore back the confidence of his people by considering the adjustment of owerri west boundaries to recover all their lands forcefully taken away from them.
He further thanked the legislator for his decision to interact with them and charged him to ensure such interactions are regular while praying God grants him the wisdom to shoulder the responsibilities ahead.
HRH Eze Lucky Ajoku who opined that the oforola born lawmaker has justified his name “Egbe eji eje ogu ” stated categorically that he has done absolutely well in the house of assembly and adviced him to consider finding lasting solution to the complains they brought to him.
The monarch finally maintained that their prayers are with Rt. Hon. Onyemaechi as they pledged to always support him.
Responding, Rt. Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi stated that Gov. Hope Uzodinma has done noble and deserves the support of entire owerri -west. He described Gov. Uzodinma as a man that is not after material things but leverages on human capital development.
The Majority Leader further informed them that Gov. Uzodinma deserves enormous commendation by signing the white paper which releases about 70% of owerri- west lands as well as appointing a son of owerri -west as commissioner for lands.
The majority leader, IMHA described traditional rulers as custodians of our customs and traditions and as such deserves his recognition at all times. He thanked them for their presence and prayed God to continue blessing them with wisdom to pilot the affairs of their various communities.
