In this video, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie discusses and asks questions about Nigeria’s lack of electricity with German Chancellor, Angela Dorothea Merkel. She asked the German Chancellor why Nigeria is still in darkness with no stable electricity after allegedly signing a contract with a German company called SIEMENS to provide the infrastructure and facilities needed to provide Nigerians with a stable electric power supply.
In response, Merkel said promises Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie chimamanda_adichie that she will carry out an inquiry into the allegation in order to ascertain the involvement of SIEMENS and why the contract was not executed as she claimed.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian writer whose works range from novels to short stories to nonfiction. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was born in Enugu, Nigeria in 1977. She grew up on the campus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where her father was a professor and her mother was the first female Registrar.
