Breaking: Emmanuel College Pedestrian Flyover Pulled Down By Imo Government

In the bid to restoring the Master Plan of the Capital territory in the 3R policy of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Administration, Owerri Capital Development Authority OCDA, led by Engr Francis Chukwu has ordered his men to pull down the popular EMMANUEL College Pedestrian Flyover Built by the Okorocha’s Government.

9News correspodent in Owerri gathered that the Urban Renewal Policy of GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma is targetted at attracting real investors to Improve the state to a model status.

However following the Urban Renewal Policy of the Imo State Government under the Shared Prosperity Administration of His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma, operatives of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), on Monday February 7, 2022, pulled down a poorly erected Pedestrian flyover at Emmanuel College, Wetheral road Owerri the State Capital.

Supervising the demolition exercise the Special Adviser/General Manager of OCDA, Engr. Francis Chukwu said that this will enable road users have free access to Douglas road which he described as Presidential route in the Owerri Master plan.

“His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma is working on improving and restoring the Master Plan of the Capital territory in his Urban Renewal Policy to attract real investors in the State”. Chukwu stated.

Some Imolites gathered at the scene to take pictures and videos, as they expressed happiness with the demolition of the Pedestrian flyover.

It was alleged that the pedestrian Flyover did not meet the approved construction standard while Imolites are anxious to see a better replacement by the Uzodinma led government.
