While the port of Ochakiv is burning as at the time of this report, millions of lives are reportedly at risk pending the end of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Information reaching us reveales that this is not an Invasion but Russian forces are on Ukraine as reported by foreign media.

Reports now indicate that Ukraine is being invaded from all the three sides: North, South and East.

On this therefore NATO has called an emergency meeting to discuss on the possible ways to stop this war because it is likely rumoured to spread to another global war if no drastic action to call it a stop.

It is no longer breaking to note that Russia has begun attacking Ukraine, NATO officials confirmed. The late-night attack began moments after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had “decided to conduct a special military operation” to protect eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region. CBS News correspondents reported hearing loud blasts in the capital city, Kyiv, and in the eastern city of Kharkiv.

A Ukrainian government spokesperson said early Thursday that “cruise and ballistic missile strikes are underway at the control centers” in Kyiv.

In his speech on Russian state TV, Putin said his plans did not include an occupation of Ukraine.

The attack came just two days after Putin recognized the self-declared “People’s Republics” of Donetsk and Luhansk, in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region, as independent, sending shockwaves across the globe and sparking a new round of sanctions from the West.

Putin also ordered Russian forces into the breakaway region for what he called “peacekeeping functions.” But the Chinese#China #Russia #UkraineRussie #Ukraina CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTRY, ON UKRAINE CRISIS, SAYS RUSSIAN FORCES IN UKRAINE NOT ‘INVASION’ AS DESCRIBED BY SOME FOREIGN MEDIA.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Russia’s move to recognize the two territories “a clear attack on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” and on Tuesday, President Biden said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine had begun.

Ukrainians — both the country’s military and its civilians — have been bracing for an expansion of the eight-year war in Donbas for weeks.

On Wednesday, the government in Kyiv called up military reservists and lawmakers approved a national state of emergency.

The emergency declaration gave authorities more power to “strengthen security of public places” outside of Donetsk and Luhansk, Ukraine’s national security chief Oleksiy Danilov said.

People resort to prayers on God for peace

Russia had massed roughly 190,000 forces near the Ukrainian border, and Mr. Biden on Friday said he was “convinced” Putin had decided to invade.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declared martial law, urging citizens to not panic as Russia launches military strikes.

Zelensky said Russia has targeted Ukraine’s military infrastructure and explosions are being heard across the country. Zelensky said he had just talked to President Biden and that the U.S. was rallying international support for Ukraine. He urged Ukrainians to stay home.

Also, President Joe Biden of United States equally released a statement early Thursday morning, saying Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reached out to him and the two spoke about Russia’s “unjustified attack.”

The call took place shortly before midnight ET, a White House official confirmed.

“I condemned this unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces. I briefed him on the steps we are taking to rally international condemnation, including tonight at the United Nations Security Council,”

PRESIDENT Biden said in the statement. “He asked me to call on the leaders of the world to speak out clearly against President Putin’s flagrant aggression, and to stand with the people of Ukraine.

“Tomorrow, I will be meeting with the Leaders of the G7, and the United States and our Allies and partners will be imposing severe sanctions on Russia. We will continue to provide support and assistance to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

Meanwhile people are asking where is the U.N Peacekeeping force? It was reported that the U.N has 60,000 troops that are supposedly been there already on intervention.

Millions of lives are at risk, I don’t know exactly how this works but because russia is one of the permanent seat members, they could possibly veto any intervention, report stated.
