The Governor of Imo state Nigeria, His Excellency Hope Uzodinma has been appointed Co-chairman, NATIONAL ECONOMIC COUNCIL COMMITTEES.
According to the information brought to our News desk, The Committees are “ECONOMIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE”, and “CRUDE OIL THEFT and MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE”.
The committees are saddled with enormous responsibility to fiscal consolidation, sustainability, Liquidity management and inflation, medium term investment and growth, fiscal transparency and accountability and state of emergency on food production for 2024.
The committees will prepare a clear road map for dealing with petroleum subsidy, including frame work for defending wage negotiations and exchange rate management.
The Executive Governor of Kwara State will also Co- Chairman the committees alongside His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The Governors of Lagos, Gombe, Kwara, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Kaduna are members with the presidential adviser on National Economic Council and climate change, Hon Rukaiya El-Rufai as secretary of the board.
Both committees are under the #NATIONALECONOMICCOUNCIL.
