Commuters on Iju Bridge
Commuters were left stranded for hours on Saturday when a fully loaded trailer got involved in an accident alongside a Keke Napep and a car on the Iju bridge in the Ota area of Ogun State.
Okada riders and pedestrians were also seen waiting for men of the Federal Road Safety Corps to remove the trailer from the bridge so that commuters could use the link road.
According to eyewitnesses, the tragic incident happened late Friday night after the driver of the trailer drove into the river as a result of sleeping while driving.
It was revealed that two people lost their lives after the accident, stressing that the total number of people affected in the accident is yet to be discovered.
