Gov Mutfwang nominates chairman, members for PLASIEC

Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has nominated the chairman and members of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC).

In a formal letter to the Plateau Speaker, the Governor detailed his decision’s and requested the House’s conformation.

The nominees are:

Hon. Planji Daniel Chishak – Chairman

Barrister Pam Davou – Secretary

Hon. Theresa Kaze – Member

Hon. Ado Audu Adare – Member

Mrs Deborah Akanle – Member

Hon. Waziri Kwande – Member

Hon. Audu Dorzhi – Member and

Dr. Longman Godfrey Pensiwan – Member.

Mutfwang nomination was pursuant to the power granted by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

This move is a significant step in ensuring the effective functioning of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, which plays a pivotal role in managing electoral processes within the State.

The nominees are awaiting confirmation from the from the Plateau Assembly.

Once confirmed, they will be responsible for overseeing the conduct of local government elections, ensuring transparency and fairness in the electoral process, and upholding the democratic values of the State.
