In an exceptional initiative, Senator Diket Plang, representing All Progressives Congress (APC) Plateau Central at the Upper Chamber, has distributed 10 trailers of fertilizers to his constituents to boast agricultural production in his senatorial district.
Diket Plang, in order to ensure the equitable distribution, toured the five local government areas comprising Plateau Central to oversee the process.
Addressing gatherings across the five Local Government Areas of Plateau Central, Senator Diket Plang expressed gratitude to his constituents for their electoral support.
He commended the peaceful conduct of the distribution across the localities and urged security agencies to ensure safety of the distribution process.
Beneficiaries of this unprecedented gesture included farmers, traditional rulers, religious bodies, APC Party executives at the local government area and ward levels.
Others are, individuals displaced by unrest in affected communities in the Central Zone, stakeholders in LGAs within the zone, residents of Jos and physically challenged persons, and other interest groups.
