The Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau State has so far won 10 Chairmanship seats in the election conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission and Chief Returning Officer of the election, Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak Made this known while announcing the election results of the first concluded Local Government Council Elections in the State.
The Chairman, while announcing the results at the Commission headquarters in Jos, stated that the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP so far won 10 out of 17 LGAs chairmanship positions.
He said the LGAs are Mikang, Shendam, Bassa, Riyom, Jos South, Jos East, Kanam, Qua’an Pan, Langtang South and Barkin Ladi.
He said the other results still expected are; Jos North, Pankshin, Kanke, Bokkos, Wase, Mangu and Langtang North.
He said the elections which was held on Wednesday across the state went smoothly without hitches and was adjudged to be free, fair and credible.
