In a significant move to improve the welfare of government employees, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has approved a new minimum wage of N80,000 for all state government workers.
As part of the implementation, Governor Eno has constituted a committee tasked with ensuring a smooth rollout of the new wage structure.
The committee is expected to submit its report within a month, ensuring that the process is transparent and effective.
‘This decision reflects our dedication to the welfare of the workforce,” said Governor Eno.
‘We are committed to improving the living standards of our employees and creating a conducive working environment.
