A statement signed by Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka, National President Ohanaeze Youth Council OYC and Comrade Ifeanyichukwu Cedric Nweke Secretary General on the 16th December, 2024 disclosed that, Nze Ozichukwu is renowned as one of the most distinguished men of nobility, honor and integrity in Igboland, with an unwavering commitment to Igbo political cum Economic survival.

It reads in parts, “It is a truism that on December 14, 2024, over 50 million Igbo people became excited about the election of Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu to complete the rotational tenure of Ndi Imo in the Ohanaeze Ndigbo presidency.

Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu became the first comrade in the struggle for Igbo emancipation to serve as the first President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

We are supremely confident that Ohanaeze Ndigbo will experience a remarkable Socio-cultural resurgence, transformation, reaffirm its core values and standards, with Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu providing strategic leadership, as he steers the affairs of the most respected Socio-cultural organization of Ndigbo, which has its roots in 1976.

We implore Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu to amend and bridge the decades-long divide between Igbo youths and elders, a major underlying cause of youth restiveness and uncontrolled agitation in Igbo land.

Throughout Igboland’s history, a significant chasm has separated Igbo elders, political stakeholders, and Igbo youth; nonetheless, we assert that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, under Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu’s leadership, will quickly reestablish trust and confidence among Igbo youth and save Alaigbo from the devastation that has plagued Ndigbo since 2015.

Our eminent New PG of Ohanaeze Ndigbo necessitates an urgent constitutional amendment, comprehensive social transformation and expansion to encompass all indigenous Igbos residing within the thirteen states, extending beyond the SouthEast to include the South-South and two states in the North Central, specifically Kogi and Benue.
