Gov. Zulum Re-appoints Bababe

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has renewed the appointment of the Executive Secretary, (ES) Borno State Geographic Information Service (BOGIS), Engr. Adam Bukar Bababe.

This marks Bababe’s second and final five-year term in the office.

The development was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the governor’s spokesman, Dauda Illiya.

According to him, Bababe’s reappointment is in recognition of his excellent performamce and transformative leadership in the agency, since its inception.

BOGIS was established in 2019 following the emergence of Zulum as governor of Borno, and Bababe was appointed as it’s pioneer ES.

Under Bababe’s leadership, Iliya noted that BOGIS has achieved significant milestones, including the automation of land title documents and the processing of over 2,500 Certificates of Occupancy, all signed by Governor Zulum.

He explained that his principal has expressed satisfaction with Engr. Bababe’s contributions, therefore deserves continuity.

The governor also congratulated Engr. Bababe, urging him to build upon the achievements of his first term and continue advancing the goals of the agency.

”I task him to build upon the gains made and consolidate on the laudable achievements during his first tenure,” Zulum said.

The statement added that “his reappointment is a testament to his dedication and commitment to transforming land management and administration in Borno State.”
