Group knocks HURIWA for demanding sack of IGP Idris

The Integrity Youth Alliance has condemned the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) for asking President Muhammadu Buhari to dismiss the amiable Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris.

In a press release by the National Coordinator of Integrity Youth Alliance in Abuja, Kelvin Adegbenga said HURIWA has failed its entire members for a biased statement issued against the Inspector General of Police because all the letter of invitation extended to the IGP is on Dino Melaye case (Attached are the two letter from the Senate to the IGP).

“We are not surprised that HURIWA said that the amiable IGP Ibrahim Kpotun-Idris sponsored “jobless youths to demonstrate against the Senate; the sponsorship of media warfare targeting the National Assembly.” HURIWA forgot that this IGP is not the type that sponsors group like HURIWA to protest in his support because his Agenda for the Nigeria Police Force is excellent enough to speak for him without any demonstration from outside the Police Force, Adegbenga said.

“HURIWA should tell Nigerians how much Senator Magnus Abe has paid them because we know them for being paid to issue press releases to support the highest bidder.

Adegbenga further reiterated that for HURIWA to have fears “that should the IGP be left to provide security during the 2019 election, then the Country may experience civil war” has shown that they are under heavy payment of some unscrupulous politicians and political parties as IGP Ibrahim Kpotun-Idris won’t tolerate any act of hooliganism from groups like HURIWA, to scuttle the 2019 General elections.

“We called on the Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim Kpotun-Idris to remained focus as President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari has enough confidence in him.

“Groups like HURIWA are well-known agents of highest bidder of enemies of this government of Change, nobody should take them seriously at all.

Adegbenga further reminded the ignorance of HURIWA that IGP Ibrahim Kpotun-Idris will never relent in his constitutional duty of effectively enforcing the rule of law, efficient in combating crimes and criminality and protect lives and property of the citizenry.

“To enlighten the ignorance of HURIWA, office of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is not constitutionally empowered to get security report from the security agencies in the country, so the so-called list released by the Senate President office is a figment of his imagination.

“For HURIWA to have accepted the false information given to her by the Special Assistant to Senate President on International Relations, Bamikole Omisore, it shows that HURIWA has lost her little credibility as the heading of the attached letter of summon to the IGP was strictly on Senator Dino Melaye, the statement concluded.
