Abba Atiku, son of the former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has publicly stated that no political party can defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 election.
Abba, who currently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, made the declaration after collecting his party membership card in Yola.
He attributed his defection to desire to support what he described as the Tinubu administration’s “far-reaching economy and human development reforms” praising the President for merit-based appointments and widespread infrastructural growth.
Abba said he was was inspired by the widespread infrastructural growth and human capital development under President Tinubu’s leadership.
“The President needs our support to continue the good work, we should mobilise more people beyond party affiliations, to back our President”, he said.
Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly aspiring to contest the Presidency on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) though none of his sons are currently members of the party.
