The Brazilian Football Federation has issued a strong statement supporting Vinicius Junior after Real Madrid forward was subjected to another alleged racist incident during Tuesday’s match against Benfica in Lisbon.
The winger, who scored during the game, reportedly activated anti-racism protocol procedures following the incident.
In its statement, “the CBF, said: “The CBF stands in solidarity Vinicius Junior, victim of yet another act of racism this Tuesday, after scoring for Real Madrid against Benfica in Lisbon. Racism is a crime. It is unacceptable. It cannot exist in football or anywhere else. Vini, you are not alone”.

The Federation praised the player’s response, describing it as a powerful example for the sport.
The statement further added: “Your decision to activate the protocol is an example of courage and dignity. We are proud of you. We will remain steadfast in the fight against all forms of discrimination. We stand by your side. Always”.
The message reinforces growing calls across football for stronger action against racism and greater protection for players facing abuse.
