An unfortunate fire incident occurred today along Bauchi Express road, Bauchi junction in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau state
9News Nigeria correspondent who was at the scene of the inferno reports that the tanker driver lost control of the truck while coming from Bauchi Axis, the tanker was filled with fuel, as a result of which it went straight into the ditch by the road side and caught fire immediately.
The fire lasted for over two hours before the rescue team of the Nigeria Fire Service could locate the scene of the inferno.
However, angry youths and sympathizers could not hold themselves as they took up stones, cutlasses and sticks to protest on the ill services rendered by the Fire Service provider. At the scene, over ten (10) people lost their lives, many sustained injuries and several people misplaced due the fire disaster.
