The coalition of Nigerian Youth on state inaugurates New Executive Council members to facilitate the security situation in Lagos State . This is an action that took place at the Lagos Security Summit with the theme The Role of Citizen on security and community affairs.
This Year security summit features top security personnels at different arms of security in which a robust conversation was held to discuss extensively underlying issues pertaining to security and also profer long lasting solutions to the issues discussed.
The Chairman of the Central Working Committee, And Akanni Micheal in his welcomeaddress appreciates dignitaries from arms of the security sector , he further reiterated that their physical presence at today’s summit is an indication that their interest towards joint force in curbing security mayhem in the state can’t be over emphasized.
The CWC chairman also appreciated participants from different security organization that made up the coalition body , he said that their presence is an indication to willingness and readiness to learn strategies in their dispositions as security personnels.
Amb Akanni Micheal further relayed that it’s necessary for everyone to take the issue of security seriously, we individually have a role to play. The citizens have a great part in this assisting the security personnels with resourceful informations. He charged New Executive council members inaugurated to be diligent in their dispositions as they should bear in mind that the general public look forward to seeing them in actions beefing up security situation in Lagos.
The Chief Host, Dr OLUNIYI in his remarks gave the importance of a well secured society in which everyone have a role to play. He emphasized how important security affairs is to me as he believes our achievements or what we tend to accumulate is in vain if our security situation fails so we won’t be in a state of jeopardy.
The state commandant, NSCDC Lagos State who is a keynote speaker commended the organisers of the summit for a well packaged program considering all stakeholders that have been invited. He said that as much as the nscdc is well known for ensuring a safe community.
The sector commander frsc Lagos State command ably represented highlighted the importance of having the right documents when it comes to traffic management. She reiterated that boycotting these requirements is a criminal offense particularly not having the right vehicle documents or fake, invalid or expired driver’s license or trying to ply the road withoutit.she gave practical examples of notable personalities in our society who value the essences of this documents. She also gave her comments on the issue of drugs, that it is not only detrimental to our health but to our behavioral response when it comes to traffic management. She charges youths to endeavour to desist from this act so we can have a sane and safe society.
Mrs Ransom Kuti who was a special guest invested at the event appreciate the organiser for the opportunity given to her to be part of this year security summit. She emphatically spoke on the courtesy visitation by some stakeholder at her residence which she commended greatly and she equally reinstated her commitment and support towards the body.
Mrs Ransom Kuti charged the participants the need to be patriotic, decent in their dispositions and not to compromise any existing modalities in curbing the insecurity in our society and nation at large. She equally gave her comments on the issue of drugs usage that it’s highly detrimental and unprofessional for security personnels to engage in it as this can result misbehaviour, psychological disorders.
The Chairman of the occasion Mr W.O Omogboye, CEO of DE Miller farm Ltd. In his remarks made emphasis on the importance of agriculture. While encouraging the participants who are security personnels to remain committed in their dispositions he said they shouldn’t be deter in practicing agriculture indirectly they are equally contributing to the economy of the state and nation at large.
He further highlighted the importance of the agriculture With respect to the fact that it’ll equally aid in their working procedures particularly those deployed in the rural communities considering the ongoing banditry and insurgency in the country now.
At the summit, all Distiguished security personnels were given award of excellence for their enormous efforts towards stabilizing the security situation and curbing the mayhem.
The summit was wrap with a closing remarks and vote of thanks by the representative of the national peace commandant peace corps, he relayed the goodwill message from the national peace commandant who is unavoidably absent , he further reiterated that participants should endeavour to implement all that have been discussed at the summit as we all know that the security of lives and property is an utmost priority in any society .
It’s a funfair and well package Event, the Lagos Security Summit organize by the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security and Safety Affairs CONYSSA held at Onikan Youth Centre, Lagos Island. The National Executive led by Amb. Ade-Mario Emmanuel inaugurated the State Executive Committee members to pilot the affairs of the body vis-a-vis security and safety. CONYSSA was established to complementing National Security with involvement of Voluntary Para-military Youth Organizations and Community Youth Organizations.
We appreciate the state government led by our ever proactive Executive Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for recognizing the Youth at a critical period that our dear Nation need more support to tackle the in-security. On behalf of the entire State Executive Committee of CONYSSA Lagos State, We promised all youths across Lagos State under the Coalition of Organizations that our team will not let you down on issue related with security of life and property by completing the effort of Nigerian Police Force and other Security agencies with our intelligent report from time to time.
