All progressive congress APC Owerri West local government area has concluded their LGA congress Election peacefully awaiting the complete compilation and PRONOUNCEMENT of results from various Local Government areas.
9News Nigeria reports that the aspirants were told to go through the process of congress election to harmonize their lists.
In Owerri West local government area of Imo state where our CORRESPONDENTs visited among other LGAs, APC delegates and party leaders came out in their numbers to do the needful.
While speaking with the LGA INEC Officials at the scene of the congress election, INEC Officers confirmed the process of the congress election in Owerri West as approved, authenticated and successful.
However, the names of successful party executives that emerged successfully through this process were pronounced before the crowds of party members and leaders of Owerri West at the local government council headquarters Umuguma as unanimously agreed upon.
Recall that the APC party leadership at their mini stakeholder’s conference held in Enugu State recently has promised to make APC the best political party in Nigeria by setting up a good tempo of leadership across the states of the Federation.
Party members have posited that this is what the APC party stands for and reportedly exemplified such at the congresses held in the 27 LGAs of Imo state.
Meanwhile, at the time of this report, there was no comprehensive RESULT sheet released to the press while the people are eagerly waiting to see the final release of names of successful Officials of the APC party at the LGA congress by INEC.
Our CORRESPONDENTs further visited Mbaise, Okigwe and Orlu zones to ascertain the actual position of the outcome of the LGA congress Election.
In the Orlu area, there was tension of possible attack by Bandits and Hoodlums whose operations are reportedly unimaginable and allegedly politically stage-managed but still at that, APC party members trooped out en-masse to exercise their franchise.
On the contrary, we confirmed there were reserved principal positions that were not pronounced alongside others, awaiting party authentication, approval and final endorsement.
The 27-LGA APC Party Chairmen and the comprehensive RESULTs of the congress are expected to be pronounced in hours after this report, the state party Chairman Bar Anyaehie hinted.
