Nigeria is on the brink of another fuel scarcity as the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO, announced plans to stop the lifting of petroleum products starting next Monday.
This is contained in an official statement issued by NARTO’s President, Yusuf Othman. The decision stems from the high operational costs, particularly the expensive diesel needed to power their trucks for product transportation across the country.
Diesel prices reportedly range from N1,250 to N1,400 per liter. This has raised concerns about potential disruptions of fuel supply.
