Lawan and his entourage stopped at the nearby Federal University, Gashua(FUGA) where he was conducted, by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Maimuna Waziri, round some ongoing projects including the school clinic, male hostels, sports complex and an ICT center being built by the National Information Technology Development Agency(NITDA).

The Senate President expressed his satisfaction at the quality and progress of work on the various projects.”We have come here to inspect the various projects, various interventions by the various Institutions of government for the Federal University, Gashua.”On the whole, I think I can say I’m fairly pleased.

It is an opportunity for us to make our contributions to the development of the communities and this is the essence of being a Senator or member of House of Representatives or member of State House of Assembly, just to go and inform the authourities at various levels that our Institutions or communities need this or they lack that and that they need the Federal government attention or State Government attention and so on.
