The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has vowed that nobody could force him to leave Nigeria.

Mr. Obi, who recently claimed that he was under pressure to flee the country, said he was committed to creating a new Nigeria.

Speaking in Onitsha during a campaign rally to drum up support for the Labour Party candidate for Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Afam Ogene, Mr. Obi said there are too many thieves in the country who are inflicting suffering on the masses.

He, however, stressed that the Labour Party was determined to purge the country’s political system of such people.

“There is too much suffering in this country, and that is what we, in the Labour Party, are fighting to end. There are many thieves in the country.
