A 22-year-old Nigerian student, Isaac Satlat, has tragically been murdered while working as an e-hailing driver in Pretoria West, South Africa.
The incident occurred on Wednesday 11, 2026, after Isaac picked up passengers who allegedly attacked him inside his vehicle.
Dashcam and CCTV footage circulating online show that he was strangled and later shot, with his body left inside the car.
South African authorities have arrested a female suspect in connection with the murder, and she is set to appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on charges including hijacking and murder. Police investigations indicate at least one more suspect is still at large.
Isaac Satlat from Plateau State, Nigeria, was preparing to graduate and had plans to continue his education in Canada.
