A Nigerian-born global mental health advocate based in the U.S., Dr Emmanuel Ahmadu, has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Fellowship in Public Resources and Health Management Sciences.
Ahmadu, in a telephone interview, told the 9news Nigeria on Monday that he received the doctorate from the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana.
According to him, the conferment ceremony held recently in Accra, Ghana, recognised his transformative leadership in public resources management and health sciences.
Ahmadu, however, said he was represented at the ceremony in proxy, adding that the occasion included his induction into the Institute’s prestigious Hall of Fame.
He said that the latest doctorate was conferred by the CIPRMP Governing Council, led by Prof. Edwin N. Korley-Bonsu, Director-General and the Chairman.
“He described Ahmadu in an official letter as “an exceptional leader whose professional excellence and inspirational advocacy continue to drive nation-building and youth empowerment across Africa.’’
“The CIPRMP, a respected Pan-African think tank registered under Ghana’s Registrar General, is renowned for honoring leaders of integrity whose works measurably contribute to Africa’s development.
“Awards are conferred exclusively by its Governing Council and Board of Trustees, maintaining a standard of credibility and non-commercial selection.
