2023 PRESIDENCY: IGBO PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA INARGUABLY A POSITIVE NARRATIVE

2023 Election and Igbo Presidency: Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim

It has been well overdue and now imminent for Nigeria to start changing historic narratives and provide a cushioning structure and opportunity for a president of Igbo extraction come 2023.

The yearnings and aspirations of the Southeast in leading Nigeria, after decades of being marginally in repudiation, has been a scenario ladened with years of grumbling that metamorphosed into agitations from different blocks of discontented people from the South East, hence the idea of giving room for an Igbo president is incontestably a fair step in the right direction.

Southeasterners have the right to take a shot at the presidential position in Nigeria once again as the 2023 presidential race draws near and I opine that this will be obviously for the good of Nigeria as a country and for the people of Nigeria as a people in dire need for a change in narratives.

The Igbos have always had something preciously unique to contribute to Nigeria; their willingness to participate in other people’s cultures is evidently seen with the inter tribe marriages, business engagements, education pursuits, residency etc.

The Igbos believe in meritocracy because they are supremely confident that they would prevail with any crisis, circumstances and situation.

They live and die in any tribe, build real homes in other tribes, name their kids after other tribal names, associate etc.

Their intelligence is prone to effectiveness in any field they endeavoured in.

Why won’t they make a capacity oriented president?

They’re industrious in nature; the Chikasons, Innonsons, Coscharis, etc that have expanded the economy of Nigeria with their companies and productions are a tip of what an Igbo man or woman can do when handed an executive position like that of a president._

The 2023 presidential race is glamorous with expectations.

The Igbos raising in unison ahead of the race is expected now.
Of course, they would execute efficiently if given the mandate.
