A Faith based Organization, Igbo leadership Intercessors Worldwide has reacted to the setting up of a security outfit for South Eastern region code named EBUBEAGU by the South East Governors which is coming after long delay.
Speaking in the maiden Radio broadcast of the organization titled “SOUTH EAST GOVERNORS AND SOUTH EASTERNERS BE STRONG IN YOUR FAITH” monitored in Owerri, the Int’l Coordinator.
The international coordinator, Evangelist Samuel Ezeji stated that the delay in setting up a security outfit for the region by the Governors could be as a result of the five Governors faith which is Christianity. Also, for the fact that the Igbo nation is a Christian nation.
In this regard the Governors delay could have been influenced by the biblical teachings which States in 1Samuel 2:8b “By strength shall no man prevail” Also as it is written in Zech.4:6b “It is not by might nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord Almighty” Again, Psalm 127:1b which says “Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain” He stated, these are scriptures that guides Christians in their decision in a time like this.
While supporting the Governors for coming up with the security outfit code named EBUBEAGU which acknowledges the role of the lion of Judah Jesus Christ in the life of Christians.
Evangelist Ezeji urged the Governors, that in addition to setting up the security outfits, they should raise a strong prayer teams which the Governors will be part of in their respective States and from time to time gather together under one umbrella.
He stated this was the example of what King Jehoshaphat did in 2Chronicles 20 when three nations gathered to attack him. And he had victory without shooting a gun.
According to the Int’l Coordinator, setting up a central prayer team to spiritually back up the security outfit is to ensure victory without much physical confrontation.
He urged the Governors to hold strongly to their Christian faith so that Igbo land will not face any bloodbath given recent ugly developments across the states and regions.
He also stated that Igbo leadership Intercessors Worldwide whose vision is to champion the mind of God concerning the Igbos for the full maximisation of the potentials of the Igbos for societal development, broadcast which started with IBC ORIENT FM Owerri, will be aired in all the Radio stations of the five South Eastern states and beyond. And similar broadcasts will come up from time to time to address issues as it concerns the Igbos all over the World.
This is a move in the right direction that need to be sponsored by good spirited NIGERIANS.
