Member representing Langtang North and Langtang South Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Hon. Beni Lar has won the Federal House of Representatives ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) primaries for the forth coming 2023 election.
Lar polled a total of 70 votes to defeat her closest rival Mr Gideon Nanden who scored 1 vote while 3 delegates were absent at the voting centre.
The Chairman of Primary election Committee for Langtang North and Langtang South Federal Constituency, Mr Solomon Abdong declared Hon. Lar winner of the election having polled 70 votes out of the total 74 votes.
The election was observed by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) from the two Local Government Areas.
Shortly after declaring the winner of the election, Honourable Beni Lar thanked the delegates for the confidence on her and dedicated the victory to her constituency. She assured them of her determination to consolidate on the gains of the past by providing effective representation.
In Jos East/Jos South Federal House of Representatives PDP primaries a serving Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Dachung Musa Bogos scored 34 votes, while the immediate past speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon.Nuhu Abok Ayuba who also contested the race of a Federal Lawmaker polled 25 votes, while the son of the former Governor of Plateau state, Jonah David Jang, Pam Jang polled zero votes.
Also the Newly elected member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Musa Agah Avia won the party primaries for the PDP.
