ABUJA (9News Nigeria) – APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje was absent as the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG) held their conference in Abuja on Thursday.
The former Kano State governor who was recently appointed the All Progressives Congress party National Chairman was expected to attend the crucial gathering of the party’s Support Group that saw President Tinubu emerge as the president of Nigeria.
In spite of the party’s National Chairman’s absence, the Support Group went ahead to hold their meeting in a hotel premises other than the party’s National headquarters as was earlier planned.
The group clamoured for unity and loyalty from the members in order to keep supporting their principal, Bola Tinubu who is now the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
9News Nigeria learnt that some members split and formed another faction of the Amalgamated APC Support Group following a leadership tussle among the leaders.
