Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha yesterday said there is need for Nigerians to unite against all odds and happenings in the country, even as he pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in the spirit of national reconciliation.
The governor said this while receiving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Owerri airport while the VP was on his way to Abia state for a stakeholders consultation on the Niger Delta region. Okorocha said Kanu’s activities should be seen as youthful exuberance.
According to the governor “What he is agitating for, is what others are agitating for too. But he used the wrong language and insulted leaders including myself. But this is the time for national reconciliation”.
