Bundi Gets New Role As Zulum Approves Appointment

Abdulrahman Bundi, a media aide to Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has gotten a new role in the government.

He is appointment as Senior Technical Assistant on Print and Digital Communications.

The appointment was approved by the governor and announced in a statement by his spokesman, Dauda Iliya on Wednesday in Maiduguri.

Bundi, a graduate of University of Maiduguri, also obtained his master’s degree in Media Management from Middlesex University, London, United Kingdom.

He is also a member of several professional organisations, including the African Public Relations Association (APRA), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a fellow and member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Social Media Analysts (NISMA).

Until his latest appointment, he served as Special Assistant on New Media from 2019-2023, and Senior Special Assistant on New Media, 2023 to 2025 under Zulum.

Similarly, Bundi had earlier served under former governor Kashim Shettima, now Vice President, as an Assistant on State and National Welfare Programs from June 2017 to May 2019.

With this promotion, Bundi is expected to provide more expertise and input in promoting and protecting the image of the state government on print and digital media.
