Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria after serving time in a UK prison.
A reliable source confirmed that Mrs. Ekweremadu arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday, sparking celebrations across her home state of Enugu.
Her release follows her sentencing alongside her husband and Dr. Obinna Obeta by a UK court in connection with an organ harvesting case. While Senator Ike Ekweremadu received a 10-year sentence, his wife was sentenced to six years.
