Nigeria’s Under 19 women’s basketball team also known as the Junior D’Tigress have been drawn in Group B of the 2025 FIBA U-19 Women’s World Cup in Czechia, where they will face Portugal, Canada and China.
According to the draw, which was conducted in the host country, the tournament will be played from July 12 to 20.
Meanwhile, USA, Israel, Hungary and Korea make up Group A while Australia, France, Brazil and Mali are in C, as Group D has hosts Czechia, Spain, Japan and Argentina.
To qualify for the tournament, which will mark their maiden appearance at the world stage, the Junior D’Tigress finished runners-up at last year’s U-18 Women’s AfroBasket and now have a second chance to make their U-19 women’s basketball debut in Brno, Czech Republic.
