The Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC) Malami Shehu Dikko, says all financial entitlements for Super Eagles players and officials at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been resolved and are being process for payment.
Dikko said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the full AFCON budget in November 2025, ensuring alignment between the NSC, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the team. While approval and processing are separate stages, match bonuses and allowance are now being released through the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The NSC boss also confirmed that daily allowances – requested in cash by squad – have already been settled, and that negotiations with team leadership ensured clarity on bonus terms before the tournament began.

The Super Eagles have won all their matches so far, scoring 12 goals en route to the quarter-finals.
Nigeria will face Algeria’s Desert Foxes for a semi-final spot and are expected to depart Fez for Marrakech today, ahead of the encounter at the Stade de Marrakech, Morocco on Saturday evening.
